The African Development Bank (AfDB) has just completed an environmental project in a refugee camp in Burundi. The project, funded by the Transition Support Fund with $1.3 million for refugee camps in eastern Burundi, will allow 43,296 people in the region to access solar energy and improve their resilience to climate change.
The project is equipped with a large-scale solar system consisting of 46 large-scale bulk solar panels of 300 watts with a total power of 13.8 kWp. The electricity generated by this system will be used for offices, libraries, communities, gyms, residential buildings and other buildings in the area.

These achievements are part of the success of the organization's projects. The project was launched in Burundi in 2018 by the African Development Bank (AfDB) with US$ 1.3 billion in funding through the Transition Support Facility (TSF), an AfDB entity whose Its operational autonomy enables them to fund low-income countries without regard to performance standards.

Rain actually helps solar panels work more efficiently. This is because rain will wash away any dirt or dust that collects on the panels so they can absorb sunlight more efficiently. Anern's solar panels actually generate more electricity than you need during peak sunlight hours. This excess power can be used to provide additional power on days or at night.
